Sexual Abuse Prevention Network is seeking an adaptable and experienced youth educators with a passion for youth education. This role provides the successful applicants with the opportunity to work with the Youth Programme Coordinator and other educators to meet the challenges of our expanding youth education work programme.
Sexual Abuse Prevention Network is a charitable trust that delivers education programmes, advocacy and advice to a wide range of groups and services. This includes education programmes on healthy relationships and consent for secondary schools and community groups.
The Sexual Abuse Prevention Network actively seeks a diverse applicant pool, with a variety of life experiences. An understanding of Te Āo Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi is particularly valuable.
Delivering youth education programmes in the Wellington region and beyond

The ideal person will have:
Experience in education, youth work, group facilitation
A relevant tertiary-level qualification or equivalent experience
An ability to work with a diverse range of groups, individuals and cultures
A commitment to the principals of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Commitment to gender equality and social justice
Understanding of diverse genders and sexualities
Understanding of the dynamics of sexual violence
A full clean NZ drivers license (of the ability to have one within six months of starting the role)
This role requires a significant level of resilience and vibrancy, the work is demanding but highly fulfilling.
This is a 32 hour a week permanent role. Hours of work will be within Monday-Friday 9.00am -3.00pm, though some will fall outside of this and some flexibility will be required from the successful applicants. This role is based out of the SAPN office and will spend time at schools and with other groups, primarily in the Wellington Region. The role reports to the Youth Programme Manager and will receive regular internal and external supervision. Applicants will be subject to a New Zealand Police check.
